This article deals with the development of rice dryland direct seedling mulching technique. The author reviews the rice dryland direct seedling experiments at different stages in Panjin, makes analysis on the restraints in this field, including short frost-free season, low temperature in spring, weed damage, and disorderly scattered seedling. According, measures to address these problems are put forward and proposals are offered to improve rice direct seedling machines.
