提“两”字在汉语史上是个使用频率极高的书写形式，所涉及的字词关系、词际关系错综复杂。我们尝试从历时的角度全面梳理“两”字先后记录过的词项，考察其本用、兼用、借用等职用属性，发现“两”字大致以汉末魏初为分水岭，先后经历了职能扩展和职能缩减的过程，这种变化是语言和文字辩证互动的结果。
제“량”자재한어사상시개사용빈솔겁고적서사형식，소섭급적자사관계、사제관계착종복잡。아문상시종력시적각도전면소리“량”자선후기록과적사항，고찰기본용、겸용、차용등직용속성，발현“량”자대치이한말위초위분수령，선후경력료직능확전화직능축감적과정，저충변화시어언화문자변증호동적결과。
The character “Liang( 两 )” has being used frequently in Chinese development history, the relationship between characters and words are very complicated. This thesis makes a diachronic research on words had been contained by the character“Liang(两)”, and try to show about its original use and concurrent use and borrowing what they were. And the end of the Han dynasty formed the division between the extended functions of Chinese character and the shrunk functions of Chinese character. And there are a lot of factors lead to the development and evolution in the functions of Chinese character“Liang(两)”
