李泽厚先生在《美学散步》序言中对比朱光潜和宗白华两位美学大家,认为朱光潜是学者,其美学是“推理的、近代的、西方的、科学的”;宗白华是诗人,其美学是“抒情的、古典的、中国的、艺术的”。这种评价在突出宗白华美学的“散步”形态、诗化语言和中国古典特色的同时,也让人相对轻视了宗白华美学中的哲学积淀与逻辑思路,更忽视了其美学建构背后的方法探讨。事实上,在鸢飞鱼跃、活泼玲珑的精美文字下,宗白华的美学研究遵循着从跨文化到跨学科再到跨艺术门类这样一套系统而严密的研究方法,这种系统的研究方法对于今天的美学研究尤其是艺术学研究具有重要的意义。

In the preface of Strolling in Aesthetics, Mr.Li Zehou contrasted Zhu Guangqian and Zong Baihua , the two great masters of aesthetics , believing that Zhu is a scholar whose aesthetic ide-as are “inferential, modern, Western and scientific” while Zong is a poet with “lyric, classical, Chinese and artistic” ideas.This remark highlights the “strolling” form, poeticized language and classical Chinese characteristics of Zong ’ s aesthetic system , but also let people relatively neglect its philosophical accumulation and logic thinking or even overlook the methodology behind its aesthetic construction.In fact, Zong’ s aesthetic research follows a set of systematic and rigorous methods un-der his vivid and exquisite words , from cross-cultural to interdisciplinary and cross-arts.This set of systematic methods is still of important significance to aesthetic and artistic research today.
