符号的＂能指＂与＂所指＂之间的关系是任意决定的。但采用何种形式的＂能指＂来表示＂所指＂,这就关系到＂能指＂的选择性。就是说在所指的选择上不再是任意的。本文先阐述了索绪尔的符号任意性观点,然后列出了古今中外＂名实＂问题,最后通过几个例子说明了能指的选择问题。

Symbol of the ＂can mean＂ and ＂referred to＂ is the relationship between an arbitrary decision. But what form of＂ can mean＂ to represent ＂referred to＂, this is about ＂can mean＂ selective. That is referred to is no longer an arbitrary choice. This article first describes symbols of Saussure＇s arbitrariness, and then listed at all times and ＂identity＂ issue, can last through several examples to illustrate the meaning of selected issues.
