新世纪10年以来，中国红学研究者呈现了如下特征：从发文量与洛特卡定律相比较的角度看，红学研究人员的学术研究能力比较强，但是作者队伍尚不完全成熟；从普赖斯定律的角度分析，红学的活跃作者群已初具规模，群体成果产出率较高；有固定的红学核心作者群体，且该群体对红学研究的贡献非常大；红学研究者的增、复量保持了良好的均衡，“坚守”和“加入”的比例很合理；作者的合作率与合作度均较低，应予以重视。
