Tpsychology has its own unique nature of the subject and widely scope of application. And it will play an important role in shaping the modem people. This paper explores what is the student-centered teaching philosophy, and discusses how the student-centered teaching philosophy will be applied to the teaching of public psychology curriculum according to analysis of the teaching status of public psychology curriculum in colleges and universities. That will strive to enable students to be masters of learning in the process of studying psychology course, cultivating the studying interest and self-learning ability, mastering the relevant laws of psychology, applying psychological knowledge to improve self- learning level and personal qualities, reflecting the value of psychology courses.
