The balanced development of education is the strategic choice of educational development and reform for China in the future in a comparatively long period of time as well as the essential means to solve the problems and contradictions in China′s compulsory education.The educational development in underdeveloped region constitutes the most important part of balanced educational development with its focus on the improvement of education quality.Only when the teachers in a whole region realize their professional development can the quality of education in that region be improved.Apart from school based development,regional development and inter-school development,cross-regional development of education not only has practical significance,but will become an important tendency for teachers′ professional development in the future.Using the internet technology to realize resources sharing and sustainable development,cross-regional development of teachers can not only promote teachers′ overall development,but also make sure that teachers actively participate in teaching reform and research,perfect themselves,bring along more teachers in this tide so as to promote balanced educational development in underdeveloped regions.
