Uniform flow depth calculation of circular cross-section need to completely solve the implied trigonometric functions,it can not be get the direct solution. In order to solve the problem of computational complexity of traditional algorithms and approximation algorithms exist, or accuracy is not high, the uniform flow depth equation is transformated by mathematic, with optimization fitting method, taking a standard residu-al difference as a minimum objective function; the approximate formula was obtained by fitting, which calcula-tion is relatively simple, the results the maximum relative error of the results less than 0.44%. it has some practical significance of promotion.
