The development of the drill collar thread stress dispersion groove structure is intro-duced in API Spec 7,SY/T 5144,GB/T 22512.2 standard.It points out that the former structure of the male and female thread engagement reduces in the number of complete buckle,which de-creases its carrying capacity,while increasing the bending strength ratio.A method is proposed to improve the screw stress dispersion structure,aiming at reducing the stress concentration and im-proving the service life of drill collar threads.
