The insulation structure of nanocomposite main insulation, performance contrast tests of nanocomposite main insulation materials and electrical aging tests of stator bar were introduced, and the oversea research progress of epoxy nanocomposite applied in insulation system of high voltage electrical machinery was summarized. One of the importance development trends of the main insulation in high voltage electrical machinery that using nanoparticle to modify the toughness of the main insulation materials was proposed.
