The construction of Hainan international tourism island has risen to national strategy.In order to make college sports play a better role in the construction of Hainan international tourism island and starting from the functions of the urban development and college sports,this paper combined with the analysis related to sports in ＂Several views of State Council on Promoting Hainan International Tourism Island＂ and elaborated the role orientation of college sports in the construction of Hainan international tourism island.
