文章通过梳理系统功能语法的及物性理论的发展过程,以及对比悉尼语法和加的夫语法这两个主要模式对及物性系统的描述,旨在为整合和完善及物性语义系统的研究提供理论基础。研究表明,这两种及物性理论模式既有相似点,也存在差异性。本文进而探讨了这些差异产生的原因,并指出这两种模式在句法研究上存在互补性。最后,本文提出了及物性研究需要进一步拓展和完善的几个方面。

This paper aims to provide the theoretical departure for the integration and perfection of the semantic system of Transitivity by comparing the Transitivity theory advanced by Sydney Grammar and Cardiff Grammar to illuminate the development of the study of transitivity in the framework of Systemic Functional Grammar （SFG）. The study shows that these two major theoretical models of Transitivity demonstrate some remarkable similarities and differences. Then the possible reasons for the differences are explored, arguing that the two models are complementary, particularly on syntactic studies. This article is concluded with some prospects for further study of Transitivity.
