Eleutherine bulbosa (Iridacea)has a large number of naphthols,naphthoquinones and nanthra-quinones.Furthermore,many pharmacological activities such as vasodilatation,antibacterial,antifungal and antivi-ral activities have been reported.In this article,the research advances on chemical constituents and pharmacologi-cal activities of E.bulbosa were reviewed in order to provide a reference for its further development and quality con-trol.
