我国大学生就业尚处于探索阶段，较多的借鉴的是国外的模式，忽略了当地企业家的精神文化资源在大学生创业教育中发挥的作用。以莆田学院为例，本文从莆商精神勇闯天下志在四方的创业理念、吃苦耐劳自强不息的优良作风、精明善算俭以兴业的经商之道、恋祖爱乡报效桑梓的人文情怀等方面进行归纳总结，为莆田学院大学生创业提供一些切实有效的建议。
