文章选取天山北坡的玛纳斯河流域绿洲城镇为研究对象，运用主成分分析法对1949～2010年的流域城镇化水平进行综合评价，并以此为依据将流域的城镇化过程分为四个阶段：第一阶段为1949年～1965年，城镇化水平整体较低并处于下降趋势；第二阶段为1966年～1978年，期间城镇化水平综合得分仍为负值但有小幅度的提升；第三阶段为1979年～1990年，城镇化水平呈现快速上升趋势；第四阶段为1991年～2010年，城镇化水平有了一定的基础，呈波动增长且增长缓慢。根据分析结果和实际情况提出影响城镇化水平发展的因素，以期为当地部门提供有效的城镇发展依据，具有重要的实践意义。

Based on the comprehensive score during 1949 ~ 2010 to estimate the urbanization on the oasis of the Manasi River Basin ,using the principal component analysis .The process of urbanization was divided into four stages :(1) From 1949 to 1965 ,the level of urbanization was lower and in a downward trend .(2) From 1966 to 1978 ,the level of urbanization was still negative but had a small scale promotion . (3) From 1979 to 1990 ,the level of urbanization was upward .(4) From 1991 to 2010 ,the level of urbani-zation had a certain foundation ,the growth was slow fluctuating .The influence factors were promoted too . This paper can guide the regional urban development with the important theoretical basis .
