从国内外地理标志产品保护现状出发,通过阐述地理标志产品保护对汕头区域经济发展的意义和价值、汕头地理标志产品保护的有利条件、保护和申报现状,指出目前汕头地理标志产品保护工作中存在的问题,提出了加快汕头地理标志产品保护发展的对策。

This paper described the current status of domestic and international protection of GI products,by describing the meaning and the value of the protection of GI products in Shantou,the favorable conditions,the current protection and reporting status of GI products in Shantou,pointed the problems existed in GI products protection in Shantou,and put forward the countermeasures to accelerate the development and protection of the GI products in Shantou.
