原则是灵魂和指南，有助于引导心理健康教育教学的开放性走向。高职院校心理健康教育课开放性教学应遵循必要的系统化、建构性、主体性、前瞻性和开放性原则。其开放性教学基本特征及教学模式构想体现在：树立开放的价值取向和教学目标，拓展开放的教学内容，打造开放的教学组织和教学方法，创设开放的教学过程，构造开放的教学评价。
