当前服刑人员的阅读活动面临图书资料少、阅读时间短、缺乏规范管理、图书内容不健康等问题，主要原因在于民警认识不足、制度缺乏、投入欠缺、管理不到位。读书可以帮助服刑人员改造思想、规范行为。因此，监管部门需要提高认识、增加投入、完善制度并加强管理队伍建设，使该项工作真正落到实处。

Abstract: At present, there are a lot of problems about the reading of prisoners, such as lack of books, time, standardized management,and some reading content is not healthy. The foremost reasons on the problems above can be contributed on po- lice lacking of knowledge, lacking of manager rules, the lack of investment and management does not reach the designated position. Reading can help prisoners change minds and normative behavior. Therefore, responsible department needs to do all kinds of work to make the prisoner reading play a positive role.
