在追赶全国“三化”步伐和促进“两型社会”建设中，贵阳高职教育发挥了重要作用，服务地方经济社会发展成效明显。同时也还存在服务能力和刚性需求有差距、专业设置与市场接轨有缝隙以及教学实践和市场要求对接弱等方面的问题，同样面临既要后发赶超、争创一流，又要转变发展方式、提升服务质量的双重压力和双重任务。亟需以贵阳乃至贵州特色产业和比较优势为依托，通过加大资源整合力度、深化教学改革、完善实践教学环节、大力培育和引进人才等举措，构建符合发展实际和时代要求的高等职业教育体系，助推贵阳乃至全省经济社会跨越发展。

Guiyang higher vocational education has exerted great influence on serving local economic and social develop- ment and achieved fruitful results during the process of catching up the national pace of "Three Realizations" and promo- ting "Two Types of Society". However, it has some problems, like: a gap between serving ability and rigid social de- mands, a gap between specialty setting and market requirements, and weak cohesion in practice teaching and market de- mands. It also faces two kinds of pressures, i.e. catching up the first and striving for the top, and two major tasks, i. e. transform the mode of development and improving serving quality. Under these circumstances, it is urgent to construct Guiyang higher vocational education system accord with the development reality and times demands based on Guiyang and Guizhou characteristic industries and comparative advantages, and through increasing resource integration efforts, expanding the width and depth of government - school - enterprise cooperation, deepening teaching reforms, improving practice teaching, cultivating and introducing talents to promote a great - leap - forward in Guiyang and Guizhou eco- nomic and social development.
