This paper introduces the influencing factors that we must consider in the designing of the engine' s power start - up system. It makes detailed treatise of the influences from either envi- ronmental temperature or lubricating oil. Combining with the writer' s work experience, the article makes further discuss about the design of the starter and introduces the selection of storage battery and the supporting facilities in detail. It also introduces the influences of the power and its control circuit that may disturb the start performance. In the paper, the design of the gear pair and running characteristic of the start- up system are also made in- depth research.
