蓉椒8号是以0109-5为母本，9903为父本组配而成的一代杂种。该品种中熟，植株生长势强，株高75cm，开展度70cm×80cm，果实细长羊角，果实纵径16～180133，果实横径1．2～1．6cm，果肉厚0．18cm，平均单果质量9．6g，味辣，果条顺直，商品性好；耐高温，抗病性强，综合性状优良。从定植到采收55d左右，每667m2鲜椒产量1800-2000kg。

Rongjiao 8 is a hot pepper FI hybrid bred by crossing 0109-5 and 9903. It is a mid-mature variety, and grows vigorous plants 75 cm in height and 70 cm × 80 cm in canopy, and fresh fruit straight sheep-horn shaped, 16 - 18 cm in length, 1.2 - 1.6 cm in diameter, 0.18 cm in thickness of fruit wall and 9.6 g per fruit, with good comprehensive character such as pungent taste, good marketability, high temperature resistance and strong disease resistance. It takes about 55 days from final transplant in the field to harvesting and yields about 27 - 30 t fresh fruit per hm2.
