The paper analyzed the results of 38 six-year-old black poplar clones grown in Wen Country, north of Henan. The results showed that there were highly significant differences on D.B.H, height and volume among of tested clones. With the synthetic method, there fme clones were selected. The average volume of these clones was respectively 75.37%, 64.83%, and 50.86% bigger than CK.
