The(1+1)-dimensional Ostrivsky equation will be studied by using(G′/G)-expansion method.Exact traveling wave solutions are obtained.The traveling wave solutions are expressed in terms of hyperbolic functions,the trigonometric functions and the rational functions.It is shown that the(G′/G)-expansion method may provide us with a straightforward and effective mathematical tool for seeking exact solitary wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations.
