This review discussed the existing problems in the development of animal husbandry in mountainous counties. The development of animal husbandry in the mountainous counties were currently in the transitional period, therefore, the sustainable and healthy development could be realized by accelerating transition of production mode and solving the tickles in mountainous county industries
