Mediastreamer2 is a cross-platform and light-weighted streaming engine specialized for VoIP applications.This paper introduces a new design method of soft phone based on SIP protocol in embedded system.This system's hardware was designed around ARM11 and software platform chooses Linux.The signaling protocol in this system used the eXosip2 protocol,and the Mediastreamer2 was used to develop multi-media communication.
