柯勒律治是19世纪初英国文学浪漫主义时期著名的湖畔派诗人，他的两首代表作品《忽必烈汗》和《古舟子咏》的文学、诗学和美学价值已经得到了西方学术界的认可并且曾被我国多位译者译介。韦努蒂作为异化理论的主要支持者和理论贡献者，指出“异化”是一种译者不干扰作者，而尽量使读者靠近作者的翻译方法。本文通过分析柯勒律治诗歌中神秘因素的主要来源，剖析异化理论在翻译实践中保留诗歌诗意价值和诗学关感的重要意义，指出，异化理论既能拓宽读者视野，又能充分表述诗人独特风格，最大限度保留诗歌关感。

Coleridge is a famous Lake poet during the romanticism period of English literature in 19th century. In his two representative works Kubla Khan and The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, the value of literature, poetics and aesthetics have been generally acknowledged and these two works have been translated by many Chinese translators. As one of the chief supporters and theory contributors, Venuti defines "foreignization" as an approach in which the translator leaves the author in peace, as much as possible, and moves the reader towards him. The paper aims at exploring the important role of foreignization in retaining the poetic value and aesthetic sense, through the analysis of the sources of mysterious elements in Coleridge' s poems. The theory of foreignization helps to broaden readers' vision and to reproduce the poet' s unique style fully. Therefore, translating by foreignization can preserve the beauty of foreign poems to the largest extent.
