近年来,ESP教学模式日益受到全国各高校的重视,是大部分高校大学英语教学改革努力的方向。它的兴起迎合了时代、社会的需求,也反映了高校大部分师生的心声。因此,大学英语从基础英语教学向ESP教学转向是种必然趋势,前景光明。为保证大学英语教学改革的平稳过渡,采取相应的应对策略就很重要,如：提升ESP教学地位;选编合适的ESP教材;培养合格的ESP师资力量;改进教学方法;转变测试方法;打破全校统一大学英语教学大纲的束缚等。

In recent years,all colleges and universities in China have attached more and more importance to ESP teaching mode.It's the direction that leads most colleges and universities to make great efforts.Its appearance meets the demand of the times and the society and reflects most college teachers and students' wishes.Therefore,it is inevitable that college English should turn from EGP to ESP teaching and ESP teaching has a bright prospect.In view of this,to ensure a smooth transition of the college English teaching reform,it is very important to adopt some correspondent countermeasures,such as:to promote the status of ESP;to choose and compile proper teaching materials for ESP;to foster qualified ESP teachers;to improve teaching methods;to change testing methods;and to free from the constraint of the unified college English syllabus,and so on.
