Using adding layer technology of existing masonry structure and concrete structure, ensuring the security of building's subsequent use, and realizing the building energy efficiency better, has been the focus point which the government and related enterprise pay attention to and research. When we strengthening the building and add layer, the life of the building extends at the same time. Building life extension is the biggest energy saving. This article mainly introduce the principle of selection, the form of adding layer, and earthquake isolation and underpinning technology of both existing masonry structure and concrete structure applied in practice.
