复合绝缘子脆断是电力系统的重大安全事故,鉴于此,对护套完整的复合绝缘子发生脆断的机理进行了试验研究。对带护套的复合绝缘子芯棒进行了应力腐蚀试验,对高温硫化硅橡胶在未施加电场和施加电场条件下分别进行了硝酸渗透试验,用扫描电镜（SEM）、红外光谱分析（FTIR）等手段分析了渗透过程。试验结果显示,硝酸和拉力的共同作用可以使初始阶段护套完整的复合绝缘子发生脆断,硝酸浓度的增加、试验温度的上升会加速硝酸在硅橡胶中的渗透;未发现电场对渗透过程有显著影响;被硝酸渗透后的硅橡胶出现了氢氧化铝填料的溶出,氢氧化铝填料的用量会影响单位体积硅橡胶的增重。通过对试验结果分析,认为硝酸对硅橡胶的渗透作用是护套完整的复合绝缘子发生脆断的主要原因,渗透过程受温度、硝酸浓度以及硅橡胶内氢氧化铝填料等因素的影响。

Brittle fracture of composite insulator is a serious malfunction of power system.The mechanism of the brittle fracture of the composite insulator with undamaged sheath was studied in this paper.A stress corrosion test of fiber reinforced plastic rods with silicon rubber(SIR) sheath,and the immersion tests in the presence and absence of electric field on SIR were performed,and scanning electron microscope(SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) were used to study the diffusion process.The results show that brittle fracture can occur due to the combination of nitric acid and stress,and that the rise of temperature or the concentration of the nitric acid will accelerate the diffusion process while the application of electric field little contributes.The Al(OH)3 filler can be dissolved in the immersed SIR,and the weight gaining of the SIR is related to the concentration of the Al(OH)3 filler.It is concluded that the diffusion of the nitric acid is the main cause of brittle fracture of the composite insulator with undamaged sheath,and the diffusion process is related to the temperature,and the concentrations of the nitric acid and the Al(OH)3 filler.
