宜州官话是宜州市的主体方言,有20个声母,39个韵母,5个声调。主要特点是,非组有读[h]和晓组有读[f]的,精知庄章四组合流按今韵母洪细分配,见组可以跟齐齿、撮口两呼相拼,并有腭化迹象,四呼分明,有[m？]韵尾,桓韵舒声读[o],深臻曾梗摄合流读前鼻音。同音字汇收单字4400余个。

의주관화시의주시적주체방언,유20개성모,39개운모,5개성조。주요특점시,비조유독[h]화효조유독[f]적,정지장장사조합류안금운모홍세분배,견조가이근제치、촬구량호상병,병유악화적상,사호분명,유[m？]운미,환운서성독[o],심진증경섭합류독전비음。동음자회수단자4400여개。
The phonetic features of Yizhou Mandarin are as follows： the pronunciation of ancient intial group of ＂fei（非）＂ confuses with group of ＂xiao（晓）＂. Ancient initial groups of ＂Jing（精）＂ and ＂Zhi-Zhuang-Zhang＂ （ 知庄章 ） feature the same pronunciation and are divided into two kinds according to the head vowel of a syllable with which they coupled. Group of＂Jian（见）＂ can be pronounced with qichihu and cuokouhu. There is ＂ [ m ？ ] ＂in the ending of final sounds and the ancient rhyme of＂huan（桓）＂keeps the pronunciation of＂ [ o ] ＂ Ancient nasal finals of＂n＂and ＂η＂ shenzhenzenggengshe are mixed with each other pronounced as front nasal sound. The syllabary of homonyms collects over 4400 words.
