In this paper, the negative influence of cavitation around a body of revolution on the body is analyzed. The experimental e- quipments for cavitation, the cavitating flows and the studies of body water-entry and -exit are introduced in detail. Then the development di- rections of studies for cavitation around bodies of revolution are briefly analyzed.
