我国从1985年开始在部分高校试运行国防教育,经过20多年的实践,取得了一定的成效,但仍存在着许多值得探讨和研究的问题。国防教育是高等教育的重要组成部分。国防教育的良好实施有利于高校对大学生的人才培育、素质培养及思想觉悟的提高。大学生作为党和人民事业发展朝气蓬勃的推动力量,也是国防建设的后备人才,必须具有正确的国防意识,要自觉关心国防,积极履行国防义务,努力为国防和军队现代化建设贡献自己的智慧和力量。加强大学生的国防意识对于培育大学生具有重要意义。本文从国际环境出发,描述了现今国际局势和中国周边环境的现状,说明了国防教育的必要性。同时,对比了国内外国防教育的现状,探讨了加强高校大学生国防教育的手段和方法。

Since 1985,China＇s national defense education has run on trial in some colleges and universities.It obtains certain success after 20 years of practice,but there is still much issue worth exploring and studying.National defense education is an important part of higher education,and good implementation of that is propitious to the college personnel training,quality training and ideological consciousness raising.The college students,as a vibrant driving force of the development of the Party and the people,which are the national defense reserve personnel,must own the correct consciousness of national defense,and should consciously concerned about it.They also should actively perform the defense duties and strive to contribute their own wisdom and strength for the national defense and the military modernization.So strengthening the national defense education is of great significance for the cultivation of college students.This article describe the current status of the international situation and the surrounding environment of China from the view of international environment,and also illustrate the necessity of national defense education.At the same time,we compared the status of national defense education at home and abroad,and explore the means and methods to strengthen the national defense education of the college students.
