The integrated solution of power plant electric secondary system based on IEC 61850 digital technology is presented. The scheme object, core technology and the advantage contrast of the solution are described. The solution enhances power plant operating efficiency by transversally combining various electrical professionals in power plant, unifying information sources, optimizing devices functionality, enriching information at station level. Itcan significantly save cable usage, reduce site area and investment and improve automation level through the utilization of generic object oriented substation event (GOOSE) and sampled measured value (SMV) technology of the process layer. The solution shares information among plant-level management system, production and dispatching system, centralized control system and other information systems vertically, which consequently raises the operation efficiency of power plant.
