应用耦合模理论和弹性力学知识对长周期光纤光栅的轴向应力特性做了详细的理论分析和数值模拟。模拟结果表明。长周期光纤光栅的应变系数存在一拐点。当耦合的模式次数小于拐点对应的模式次数时,耦合的谐振波长随应力的增加向长波长处漂移(正漂移),且越靠近拐点,漂移越大;当耦合的模式次数大于拐点对应的模式次数时,耦合的谐振波长随应力的增加向短波长方向漂移,与正漂移相同,越靠近拐点,漂移越多。时于同一模式的耦合。长周期光纤光栅耦合的谐振波长的漂移和轴向应力的变化具有较好的线性关系。

In this paper, the characteristics of strain of long period fiber gratings is analyzed in detail with coupled-mode theory and the knowledge of elasticity, and the numerical simulation is given. The results show that there is a turning point in strain coefficient of Long period Fiber Grating (LPG).When the coupled mode orders are fewer than the mode orders in correspondence with turning point, the resonant wavelength shifts to the long wavelength,and closer to the turning point, the shift is greater. When the coupled mode orders are more than the modes corresponding with the turning point, the resonant wavelength shifts to the short wavelength with the increase oftbe axial strain. The results also show that resonant wavelength shift and axial strain changes has a good linear relationship.
