Taking the prestressed concrete continuous box girder widening reconstruction project as the example, the study adopts Midas FEA finite element software to establish new and old bridge models, analyzes the influence of some factors, such as the shrinkage, creep, and foundation settlement, on the internal stress of bridge structures in the old bridge widening reconstruction projects, so as to direct the construction design for similar projects.
