Facing the worldwide competition in the market and the development of knowledge economy, it is very urgent to train and bring up innovative talents with high quality in colleges and universities. How to cultivate innovative talents has become the key to the success of China’s higher education personnel training. This paper expounds the teaching reform practice of training innovative talents of materials major and results in Shanghai Institute of Technology.
