中医药文化是中华文化的瑰宝和结晶，本文笔者从中医药文化在中国、西医类职业院校医学教育中要继续大力开展中医药文化普及教育并弘扬中医药文化等方面，探讨了西医类职业院校的医学教育要继续弘扬中医药文化的重要性和必要性。并根据专业的特点，提出了学习中医药文化课程的具体内容与课时数。对近十年来我国西医院校的医学教育中，大量删减中医药文化教育内容，提出了自己的见解。
