Objective To establish a method for the content determination of dexamethasone acetate lin-iment.Methods The content of dexamethasone acetate in dexamethasone acetate liniment was determined by HPLCwith C18 analytical column(200 ×4.6mm, 5μm).The mobile phase was methanol-water(80∶20), the flow rate was 1ml/min,the the injection volume was20μl and the detectionwavelength was240nm.Results The calibration curve was linear within the concentration range of 20.32~101.60 mg· L -1.The average recovery was 99 .96%( n=5 ) and RSD was 0 .44%.Conclusion The method is simple , rapid and accurate and it is suitable for the determination of dexamethasone acetate liniment .
