采用自行设计的英语文化知识和跨文化交际能力问卷对西北农林科技大学外语学习者（包括教师、学生）进行了调查测试，用SPSS17．0和Excel对数据进行相关度分析，从英语国家背景知识、言语交际行为、非言语交际行为和文化观念等方面测试其英语文化知识和跨文化交际能力状况，结果表明：受试者由于受汉语和中国文化负迁移的影响，习惯从自己的文化角度去出发，虽然外语学习者英语语言基本功扎实，但是对英语国家的文化知识的掌握明显不足，文化交际能力有所欠缺，并对此提出相应的对策建议。

By using the questionnaire designed by the author ahout the English culture knowledge and intercul -tural communication competence , this paper investigates the current situation of foreign language learners ’ cultural knowledge about English and their cross-cultural competences .The subjects include the teachers and students in Northwest A&F University .The data is collected by using Office Excelland data correlation is analyzed by using SPSS 17.0.The author of this paper wants to have a good knowledge of of their Enlgish culture knowledge and cross -cultur-al competence mainly from following aspects , which respectively are the background knowledge of English -speaking countries, verbal communication behavior , non-verbal communication behavior , and cultural concept , etc.The re-seach result shows that the subjects are influenced by negative transfer of Chinese language and Chinese culture , so they are used to think from their own cultural perspective and although their basic skills of English Language are emarkable , they still have no good knowledge of culture knowledge of English -speaking counttries and their cross-cul-tural competences still need to be greatly improved .Aiming at these problems this paper puts forward relevant sugess-tions and strategies .
