Facilities for the production of vinyl chloride from ethylene dichloride were trans-formed ,including the transformation of chlorine supply system ,the replacement of fuel oil by nat-ural gas ,the recovery of high boiling by-products ,and the transformation of steam heat exchanger and draining system . After these transformations , the consumption of ethylene dichloride and stream could be decreased greatly ,and thus more than 14 million RMB ¥ economic ef fects could be achieved per year .
