Esterification process model for a industrial poly(ethylene-terephthalate)(PET) plant was developed by segment-based method.The model was validated by using industrial plant analysis data.Effects of transition strategies of process parameters on properties of esterification product were studied during production ratechange.The results showed that the optimized transition strategy can effectively reduce esterification ratio fluctuations.
