朱熹与狐仙的传说，流布于闽北武夷山与赣南鹅湖、白鹿洞书院等地。然而，传说并非空穴来风，其引发之文化源头是朱熹于乾道三年（1167年）冬，由湘入赣之归闽途巾的“毛女洞”奇遇；其助推之文化源头是淳熙九年（1182年）朱熹提举浙东，因弹劾唐仲友发生文学史上所谓“岳霖判案，才妓作词”的哀艳故事。通过考订相关的记载，厘清传说与故事在历史过程中的文化源头与流变，阐释传说与戏曲故事的伦理意蕴。
주희여호선적전설，류포우민북무이산여공남아호、백록동서원등지。연이，전설병비공혈래풍，기인발지문화원두시주희우건도삼년（1167년）동，유상입공지귀민도건적“모녀동”기우；기조추지문화원두시순희구년（1182년）주희제거절동，인탄핵당중우발생문학사상소위“악림판안，재기작사”적애염고사。통과고정상관적기재，전청전설여고사재역사과정중적문화원두여류변，천석전설여희곡고사적윤리의온。
The tale of Zhu-xi and the fairy fox is well-known in the north Fujian of Wuyi Mountain, the Swan Lake of the south Jiangxi, and the culture college of White Deer Cave. Nevertheless, the tale is not without any reasoning： the cultural origin of its forming set in during the winter of the third year of Qiandao （1167） when Zhu-xi adventured the ＂hairy-girl＂ cave while entering Jiangxi province from Hunan province in his returning journey to Fujian. And the time of its cultural origin facilitation is the ninth year of Cunxi （1167） when Zhu-xi was an official ranked as ＂Tiju＂ in east Zhejiang province, during which time due to the impeachment of Tang zhong-you there occurred the story of a woeful beauty known literary historically as ＂Ye-lin judging, talent quean poetizing＂. This paper, based upon verifying relevant recordation, makes clear this tale in historical process in terms of cultural origin and transformation, whereby to illustrate their ethic connotation.
