与应试重笔头工夫的英语学习相比较,重口头表达和实际交流的听说能力往往是英语学习者最缺乏的。从全国范围来看,大学英语教育遇到了很多问题,而这在听说教学中表现得尤为明显。通过收集来自两份问卷调查、一次访谈、一次预备测试和四次效果测试的数据,依据行动研究的具体步骤进行分析,结果显示,修改教学行动之后,学生在之前预备测试中所存在的明显差异消失了,这说明修改后的教学行动是成功的、有意义的。

Among the four skills （listening, speaking, reading and writing）, foreign language learners often complain that listening is one of the most dililcult skills to acquire. Therefore, the author does an empirical study on College English Listening and Speaking Course. According to the research findings, the previous English background is not playing the decisive role in the following studies in listening and speaking; the teaching process and contents shall be reformed based on the needs of the learners. The author also puts forward the suggestions in the education reform in teaching listening and speaking.
