The causes of foam in alcoholic fermentation from sugar molasses and common products of antifoaming agent were introduced. The performance of special antifoaming agent and several other products were compared in the laboratory and field application test. Results showed that the defoaming and antifoaming performance of the special antifoaming agent were superior, and suitable for the use of alcoholic fermentation from sugar molasses.
