"Jiangyouming 62" , a new late season moderate mature indica tri-line hybrid rice variety, bred by Sanming Research Institute of Agricultural Science, and performed high yielding, well color changing, good resistance etc. as late season rice in Yong' an city. According to yield components correlation and path analysis, effective panicles number per unit area is the principle element of yield components of "Jiangyouming 62" . Essentials of high yield cultivation techniques as late season rice are: specializing in effective panicles number per unit area, grain number per spike, creating ideal high yield population structure, and giving scope to large panicle advantage, improving seed setting rate and 1000-grain weight.
