Through the description of geological route selection for Zhongxian-Wanzhou Highway in Chongqing, and the comparison and optimization carried out during survey and design, the main work and processes for geological route selection of highway in mountain area are proposed, which is important to project cost saving and technical risks control for construction and operation.
