旅游景点解说的功能是为了吸引游客,恰当的景点英文解说,对于中国旅游经济的发展有着重要意义。全文以语用学理论为指导,结合主要取自加拿大佛城及北京地区旅游景点解说的实例,探究旅游景点解说的语用特征,以期对景点英文解说语言的规范化有所启示,并对提升城市在对外交流中的品牌形象起到一定的指导和借鉴作用。

The function of English interpretive signage for scenic spots is to attract foreing tourists. Appropriate English interpretive sig- nage for scenic spots is significant to the development of Chinese tourism economy. The paper, based on English pragmatics, Illustrates the characteristics of the language styles on them. By referring to the functional features and language style of the expressions in English on signs, the author hopes translators would work more effectively and the image of a city would be more promoted in its foreign exchange ac- tivities.
