Teaching a foreign language by means of mother tongue is a very popular practice which can be found in L2 teaching and learning at home and abroad. Yet, the disadvantage of this approach overweighs its advantage. There are two reasons: subjective factors and objective ones. The most effective way to solve this problem is to upgrade the teachers'professional qualities.
