Knowledge, ability and quality are the three essential factors possessed by a person of talent of engineering. Otherwise, there is a problem of emphasizing the imparting of knowledge and belittling the training of ability and quality in our undergraduate education. The paper researched the curriculum system in the specialized field of optical information science and technology in Guangdong University of Technology, combined with the current situation and development trend of Guangdong optoelectronic industry. Talent training scheme was established, and the curriculum system of modularization education was constructed to enhance the ability of engineering practice of students.
