    In this thesis,the mechanism of flocculation technology is sketched out and the characteristics of a few kinds of frequently-used flocculants are simply Introduced.Also the application of flocculation technology in the purification of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） is summed up.Meanwhile the influence of various factors in the flocculation process is reviewed.At last prospect is cast to the flocculation technology in traditional Chinese medicine purification application.
